Bug Description
For ages (as in, pretty much forever), tetex-bin has included a copy of libgraphite in its sources, and has built and linked this copy statically. Very recently, Debian has switched from using the static copy to using the system library, as shipped by silgraphite2.0. At the same time, they've also removed the static library from the upstream tarball so, short of repacking our own version, we should probably follow down the same road as they have here.
Availability: Package is in universe and built on all arches.
Rationale: See above, the sources always were in main (though hidden in tetex-bin), and built and linked statically, this is just removing that copy and using the system version instead.
Security, QA, and Maint: silgraphite2.0 is, to be fairly, somewhat unmaintained in both Debian and Ubuntu but, conversely, so was the local copy that was shipped wholesale in the tetex sources. I don't really see this as much of a step backward, and Debian's shift to using the system version may well lead to it becoming a focal point should it cause issues. Seems like a net win to me, even if the current "it hasn't seen many uploads" thing looks unpleasant.
Packaging looks fine. Based on Adam's comments, this was already maintained so putting it back in main is no problem. ACK.
