Many packages fail to install application icon

Bug Description
I just installed bzflag and frozen-bubble as well as other games all from
universe (which, I understand, is unsupported but this problem might affect
other packages). Only the icon for frozen-bubble appears in the
Applications->Games menu.

Many, if not most, of the programs in universe don't supply .desktop files, and
so they won't appear in the menus
