Bug Description
Could be a Unity issue also I guess.
When the Panel transparency is changed in the Unity Plugin in Conky, the Panel Taskbar retains the wallpaper image underneath even after the wallpaper is changed. Opening any window will invoke the correct and current image but the original will return after a wake from sleep again until any other window is opened again.

Still happening and a fairly serious issue in my opinion. I don't know of there's another bug for the same out there but looks bad on wake from sleep.
