Bug Description

Running 12.04 on an Acer Aspire D250.
There is a keyboard shortcut Fn-F7 to disable the touchpad.

If this is accidentally set whilst on lightdm the mouse is unusable on the Unity desktop. This persists through reboots.
It can only be disabled again from the lightdm login screen.

This shortcut should still be usable from Unity as all the other shortcuts are.

Thank you for your bug report, that seems weird, your user session should have gnome-settings-daemon running and working the same way...
