Bug Description

After installation of 12.04 I was still able to access the internet without any modification to the installation.
I am not sure of the implications, as I am not proficient with Ubuntu!!!!!

1) 12.04 LTS
2) N: unable to locate package pkgname
3) I expected not to be able to access the internet
4) I was still able to access the internet
