Upgrade to 12.04 and 12 on mozilla firefox and it won't play any vidoes

Bug Description

Tried to fin fixes in the community, the only option I found was using the Fash aid tool. That did not work either.

When you say it won't play videos, does it just show a black box, the "loading" spinner going continuously, or does it say "please install flash"? Also, what would be more helpful would be to attach a screenshot. Thanks.

Just a black screen usually no loading spinner or anything. Just a black screen. It doesn't ask to load any flash either.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version.

When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:

apport-collect 990717

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
