Normally I would do dist-upgrade in a shell, first time trying this gui thing.
Disk space is a bit low,
$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda8 22G 20G 872M 96% /
...
Not sure what's to be gained by submitting this bug, but I'm trying to follow the directions.
The terminal showed there was an error in /var/lib/ dpkg/status, a blank line in value of field 'description'. inkjet- 09-driver, non-free.
I will edit that blank line out and see if I can restart. The offending package is lexmark-
