HUD - Sound indicator music controls inaccessible

Bug Description
When using the HUD, I am unable to access music controls (play, pause, next, previous etc) unless the music player is the focused window. This is particularly important as I spend a majority of the time with the music player closed to the indicator.
Other options, such as mute/unmute, are available at all times, so I wonder if it is the fact that the player controls are buttons in the sound indicator, rather than text entries?
