Check CD for defects: Dialog goes up and down

Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:

1) Feisty Alternate CD

2) Choose "Check CD for defects"

3) Then you will see that the Dialog goes up and down

I think the dialog should stay in the middle of the screen during the hole CD- ROM integrity check. Otherwise for me this looks unprofessional.

I agree, it looks unprofessional and it might harm people with epilepsy.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It isn't particularly clear to me which dialog you are referring to, could you elaborate? Additionally, do you happen to know if this is still an issue with Hardy or Intrepid? Thanks in advance.

Ah, ok. This is with the alternate CD and not the live CD. I can confirm this still happens with Intrepid. The vertical size of the box keeps changing due to the scanned paths wrapping round on to a new line.
