installing with lubuntu live desktop usb to another usb stick. Installer crashes after failing to install grub to usb drive and then retrying.

I have spent several hours now attempting to install onto a 32GB memory stick. ISO to USB doesn't produce a bootable device. Univrsal USB Installer only results in a live bootable device, not an installed OS.

Very frustrating and not as easy to achieve as it should be.
