weather applet stopped updating w/wireless internet

Weather applet worked fine on wired lan connection. On transition to wireless lan, it stopped updating from internet. I am presently online via wireless, and no settings are changed, but it fails to display weather. Docky 2.1.4 on OpenSuse 12.1. ATI FirePro, Catalyst driver. I can't think of any reason that would be.

Strace summary below. "Fatal" errors were from clicking the weather applet twice. Didn't visibly crash, but didn't update.

Probably your network manager updated to a newer version and thus this is a duplicate of bug 734490.

I am experiencing the same issues, have been for a while (7 months or more). It doesn't matter which weather service I chose. Ubuntu 11.10 and 12.04 both have the same issue. This issue has been around since I first installed 11.10, while I am not sure which version of network-manager was packaged with 11.10 upon release, I am now running 0.9.4.1.

I patched code per bug #734490, https://bugs.launchpad.net/docky/+bug/734490/comments/9 Not pretty, but doable. Then recompiled. The weather applet works, although docky must be started *after* wireless connection made on each reboot. If it starts earlier must be closed and restarted.
