Bug Description

in the middle of the update for ubuntu my net connection is disconnected. sound was work perfect before this disconnect. after this my sound not work and sound is looks like it was mute but when i open sound preference i found sound is not muted, and at the same time sound did not work. i think system can not see the sound card. i am new user for ubuntu and i want an easy instructions to solve this problem plz help me.

For some reason, you have OSS4 sound driver installed. This is interfering with the ALSA driver.

That version is no more supported; and no expecting backport as it only concern 'security' problem.
