Bug Description
Pinta 1.2 on Windows XP and Pinta 1.2 on Ubuntu 11.10:
1. "Rectangle Select" on Tools pallet and mark some area on canvas.
2. File | Close or pressing <Ctrl>+W to close a file.
3. File | New and OK button.

Now I see an update on bug #982860 there was a fix provided in latest development version. It looks like fixing the problem also fixes this one. Tested in latest development on Ubuntu 11.10 and problem is solved.
