Bug Description

Trying to upgrade from Oneric to Precise Beta 2 using "update-manager -d" will not complete. Calculating changes and downloading packages works fine, but once the upgrade gets to the install phase it aborts with this error "Could not install the upgrades". Running update-manager again prompts me to do a partial upgrade, which fails with the exact same error. I am now stuck in limbo between the two releases. Looking at the terminal output the exact error seems to be "Could not early remove python-minimal". Here is all the output:

$sudo update-manager -d

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Could you please add the log files from '/var/log/dist-upgrade/' to this bug report as separate attachments? Thanks in advance.

I can also confirm exactly the same error. Is there any way to revert back to 11.10?

I am attaching /var/log/dist-upgrade/ files.
