Unresponsive area on screen

Next to an XFCE organized side bar there is a small area on the screen (about 20x20 pixels) that is colored according to the chosen background image of the desktop.

If a window is shoved to cover this corner with its standard window decoration the window frame is *covered* / superimposed with this small background-colored area. Shoving the window back to a more centered position restores the window frame.

If the desktop menu is invoked in a manner that will render a corner of it in this area the screen (background) is not restored for that area when the menu is closed again.

petroo, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-ati REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful.

Fetched the current ISO image and brought it to an USB stick already.
I'll do the testing in the next days, but I'm a bit busy to do so right
at the moment.

I am sorry that I cannot perform the test with the provided ISO image,
as this is not giving me an xubuntu/xfce system for testing. My error
report was addressing this desktop environment.

But thank you very much for considering to fix the reported bug!

To be honest, I have given up on this fault. In the meantime I installed
a "3.11.0-19-generic" kernel for Ubuntu 12.04. The "ill corner" is still
there, but beyond its visual appearance it does not hinder anything. So
I have come to live with it.

Thanks for your continued effort but I would like to close the case, as
was suggested already.

Please move on to more urgent problems!
