Bug Description

In Ubuntu 12.04 server amd64

Try run ldirectord and get the following:

/etc/init.d/ldirectord start
 * Running ldirectord start Subroutine main::pack_sockaddr_in6 redefined at /usr/share/perl/5.14/Exporter.pm line 67.
 at /usr/sbin/ldirectord line 831
Subroutine main::unpack_sockaddr_in6 redefined at /usr/share/perl/5.14/Exporter.pm line 67.

The patch in the bottom here (fix-gethostinfo) : http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=675913 - fixes the complaints.

Confirmed, the patch at the bottom along with installing the package "libsocket-getaddrinfo-perl" appears to have fixed the problems.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug. In an effort to keep an
up-to-date and valid list of bugs to work on, I have reviewed this report
to verify it still requires effort and occurs on an Ubuntu release in
standard support, and it does not.
