Thank you for your bug report, was that a one time thing? Do you still get the issue? Have you been using evince during the upgrade? The issue happened at "Date: Mon Apr 16 20:08:21 2012", do you know if that was before or after your restart? It seems likely the issue was due to evince running during the upgrade and the schemas changing while it was running

I started the upgrade on Mon Apr 16 evening. Afterwards, I left my
computer. After return on Tue Apr 17 morning, I finished the upgrade
(some "do you overwrite your config with package maintainers config?"
questions and reboot). After first reboot, I got this problem and
another one (not envince, a problem which apport told me is already
reported).

This happened only once, and I don't know why. I didn't know I have done
something with envince at this point. Maybe I had it open during
upgrade, but the crash was showed to me after the reboot.

Over all, I had three crashed programs yesterday, this one, the one
mentioned above (forgot the name of the tool which crashed) and I sent
in as #983955 using apport.

"and I sent in" should be "and another one I sent in", sorry

Thank you for the details, from the times you describe and the report that bug happened because evince was open during the upgrade, you only got the notification after reboot for some reason but that happens, the timestamp shows it was recorded before the restart.

Closing the bug that's not an evince issue, one of the limitation of "in session" upgrades, it's usually better to close running applications while updates are applied to avoid those
