Bug Description

Hi all.

I'm booting my USB with Ubuntu 12.04 beta 2 (build 14/April/2012).

I booted to copy several folders from one partition to another (done right), the problem is that you can't see the copy dialog progress. In the left bar you see it copying but I tried HARD to make it visible, including Alt-Tab, right click--> Show progress, Super-TAB, etc. So I had to wait until finished just looking the progress in the small icon.

Best Regards.

The dialog box is showing here... Maybe you should update.

Please,

If there is any other way to make visible this dialog, let me know. Are you using some other build, more recent than 14/4 ??

Thanks.

I'm going to be even more precise: I never saw the copy dialog in the first place, just the small one on the icon. When I copied the second folder then I realized it was not possible to show it in full.

Greetings.

could you take a screenshot of the issue? does it happen every time you do a copy?

Hi,

Unfortunately , this problem seems to be quite sporadic as so far I had no luck replicating it :-(

But anyway, there is pic attached and this is what happened: As you can see, the copy process is fine and running, but that time you were unable to show it. If you clicked, the folder opens, but not the dialog. Alt-Tab, even closing everything else neither, I also checked the working spaces to no avail. At the end, I just sit and waited until the folders finished, looking at the small progress in the Dash board.

Regards.

Happening to me on 12.04 release as we speak. Installed fresh yesterday (complete PC wiped). 64 bit. Exactly as described above.

Same Problem for me also. I am using
Release 12.04 (precise) 32-bit
Kernel Linux 3.2.0-24-generic-pae
GNOME 3.4.1
First, on starting the copy, it will show progress. When we highlight some other folder and then try to check the progress, we cannot bring it back in screen, without closing all opened folders.

Got a technique.
Using Ctrl + Atl + Tab, we can bring copy progress bar back.
