Bug Description
I can reproduce this bug every time I try but it is slightly random as to when it actually occurs.
If I open the applications lens and drag applications to the launcher to pin them there eventually one will not pin itself to the launcher and will cause an area of unusable space which remains unti the system is rebooted.
To do this I drag installed applications to the lowest available space on the launcher (above the workspace switcher) and keep doing this with multiple applications in a row, when the launcher is so full that it has to scroll to reach the bottom eventually one dragged application will not pin and cause an empty space which cannot be used or removed. Hovering over the space with a mouse bring up the tooltip "Drop to add application".
This does occur everytime I try, but I can't yet determine an obvious cause.
I'm using Ubuntu 12.04
Unity version: 5.10.0-0ubuntu3
The icon size in the launcher has been set to the smallest size in the system settings.
