launcher intermittently doesn't appear when auto-hide is on

Bug Description

I have a single monitor setup, with the launcher set to auto-hide. I've left the sensitivity at the default value. I have sticky edges switched on too.

Occasionally when I try to show the launcher with the mouse, it won't pop out. I see the shadow appear, so maybe it's showing a single pixel or something. The Super key shows it normally, and after repeated tries it normally starts working again. It could be something to do with the velocity and the sticky edges, I'm not sure.

With the sensitivity turned up full you still have to push the mouse fast against the left edge of the screen to get a reliable reveal. A gentle movement has no effect.

This means I cannot and will not use the auto hide because it is effectively disfunctional. I must be able to get the hidden launcher back in view in an effortless way, which at the moment does not happen. I note that 1) the reveal sensitivity setting seems to have no effect and 2) if the cursor is swiped at some speed onto the hidden launcher, it always reveals ok, but seriously, this is totally uncomfortable for my persona;l style.
So as a Unity User experience this is a signifiacant problem. Thanks
