Bug Description

Hello,

The latest update a few days ago that was sent out for Nvidia drivers killed my Unity Desktop. I thought it was just a one time thing. So I re-installed it and it was the same again. I am unable to use Unity3D at all. When I login, it starts up with a black screen and once in a while, it will display the wallpaper for a sec and then the black screen will roll down from top in ugly animation.

I have produced output from my dmesg and history.log for your information.

Or even better yet, what exact package did you uncheck after your fresh install in the update manager? I'm new to linux trying to get a handle on it. I'll do a fresh install, uncheck that package and see if it works for me also. Thanks!

Hey,
Ok what I did was on the computer with the current graphics problem (a little different than yours, I could use my computer), I uninstalled the Unity package. I can't remember exactly which one I clicked in the synaptec package manager. It ended up uninstalling: libunity-core-5.05-5, libunity-core-5.0-dev, unity.
Then I tested the graphics again the normal way it would screw up. It worked. So if this can help identify, like I said I'm new to this.
I am currently reinstalling to test this with a fresh instal because it also removed a lot of Ubuntu shit once I restarted. I have to go through like 30 more minutes, I'll let you know.

If anyone has comments, anything would be appriciated seeing how I am shooting in the dark here.
