i've been updating my system since day1 of precise's development and the new settings haven't shown .. i've received all other updates to the system, like the new settings in Appearance and HUD etc etc, but the new categories haven't been added to the gnome-control-center

I can confirm this because I was upgrading along the way from Oneiric and when I did a fresh install yesterday I see a bunch of new things in the control center, including Privacy
& Management Service

Thank you for your bug report, you need to install activity-log-manager-control-center, not sure why the upgrade didn't pull it for you but it can happen during the uninstall cycle that new recommends are not available yet, it should not able for stable to stable upgrades, in any case not a gnome-control-center issue
