compiz segfaults at initiation

after friday's update, Compiz is having a major segfault, rendering the desktop session useless.
(always handy keeping gnome-classic-no effects around ;-) )

i'll attach the terminal output of "compiz --replace"

i tested it with both the "unity" and the "standard" profile, result is the same, so i don't think it's Unity's fault.

Last night the system picked up on the crash and made an automated bug report. Good chance it has some useful information. See bug #981907

I can't run cmpiz at all after updating to lates in 12.04. Trying to get more info.
