Bug Description

[Impact]: it's a stable GNOME updated include a fix for disk space calculation being wrong
[Development Fix] the new version is in quantal: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/1:3.4.2-0ubuntu1
[Stable Fix] that's a bug fix update from upstream

[Test Case]
look to the disk stats in the system settings on a system with NFS mounts
1) Go to system settings
2) Choose Details in the System section
3) Ensuring 'Overview' is chosen look at the Disk size and ensure it does not include nfs or other network mount points

[Regression Potential] the change concerns the info section of system setting, the regression potential is to have disk space computation wrong in case it was not before in that dialog (i.e purely informational, nothing rely on that)

The disk size in details -> overview appears to include network mounts such as NFS in 12.04
(I can't recall if it did this in previous versions).

Is this the correct behaviour or should it exclude network mounts?

My disk size says 199.7 GB however fdisk shows the disk as being 250GB. Naturally, since it is less no nfs mounts are showing up.

My hdd is 300GB, NFS totals about 450GB and as a result 790GB is usually reported as the disk size (with 40GB taken from somewhere, I don't know what). The interesting thing happens when I umount the NFS shares then the disk size is suddenly reported as 1.3TB. Something not quite right here :)

If it weren't so late I would take a look. Maybe in the morning.

Brian Murray (brian-murray) wrote : Missing SRU information

Thanks for uploading the fix for this bug report to -proposed. However, when reviewing the package in -proposed and the details of this bug report I noticed that the bug description is missing information required for the SRU process. You can find full details at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#Procedure but essentially this bug is missing some of the following: a statement of impact, information regarding the development fix, a test case and details regarding the regression potential. Thanks in advance!
