Hi, I was browsing the code this evening looking to fix this when I stumbled upon this bug report and realized I'm having the same problem others are as well. I've attached a small patch that simply adds a boolean option to disable this feature.

Sakura has quickly become my favorite, no-nonsense terminal and I'd love to contribute where I can. I'm unfamiliar with bzr+launchpad and generally work with git. Is there any documentation available outlining the contribution process?

Thanks Erik! Your patch has been applied.

There's no documentation about contributing. If you don't use bzr just create a patch with git and send it here, just like you did with this bug. If you plan to work in any feature for sakura that is not in the launchpad bug list, please check with me before just to be sure i'll agree to merge it.
