Bug Description
I'm on an up-to-date Precise beta. Approximately 30% of the time that I start Thunderbird, it starts in the state shown in the attached screenshot - no accounts shown, no mailboxes shown, etc. Closing the application and restarting it will fix the problem (in my experience this has never happened twice in a row - the restart has always come up as expected). Closing the application is also the only way I have been able to work around it - clicking on any of the actions shown in the screenshot has no effect. I have not been able to determine any common pattern of when this happens and when it doesn't, and cannot reproduce it reliably. Happy to help debug if you wish though.

Hi Jane,
Next time this happens, could you please open the error console (Tools -> Error Console), and see if there is anything logged in there?
In the meantime, it might be worth disabling the "Provider for Google Calendar" extension that you have installed in your profile. Whilst this probably isn't responsible, it's fairly useless on its own (it's designed to be used with Lightning), and disabling it eliminates one possible cause. I'll try installing the other addon you're using (Nostalgy) to see if it happens to me.
Thanks
