Bug Description

during system testing, suspend test fails on 12.04 beta 2 on Asus UX31. Screen goes blank bu doesn turn off. System doesn come back from suspend, must be power cycled. On reboot hangs several times before it can restart clean.

I can confirm the similar issue (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with latest udates) - if I select "Suspend", then screen goes blank but doesn't turn off. And I have the same problem with hibernation.

I believe this is a duplicate of bug #962798 so marking it so. In that bug there is also an upstream bugzilla link that follows the progress on getting the issue fixed out-of-the-box.
