- Installed gtimer through Ubuntu Software Centre
- Started gtimer
- Created new project from menu
- Added a new task to new project
- Tried starting a task with ALT+S when the error occurred

After the crash, I restarted the app and ALT+S works fine. It might just be an initial bug when setting up a project from a clean installation.
