Bug Description
In 11.10 movie-player had no trouble playing mp4s dowloaded from youtube, however these will no longer play in 12.04beta2. This does not appear to be an obvious missing codec problem as all the non-free codecs are installed (and the files played OK before upgrade). The files will still play on 12.04 using mplayer and vlc.
The problem is present on multiple machines, both 32bit and 63bit.
1) Ubuntu precise (development branch)
2) totem 3.0.1-0ubuntu21
3) totem (movie-player) plays mp4 downloaded from youtube
4) totem itself starts, says "Playing", but black screen and no video plays
workaround: use non-gstreamer player such as vlc or mplayer.
