Ubuntu Feisty: network problems (TCP window scaling)

I think this isn't a real bug, but it's really a potential big problem for many users.

This forum thread describes quite well the problem:

I found a solution, that is described in the post #14.

My case:
- the hardware: an Acer notebook & a Sagem ADSL router (NOT wireless)
- No problem with this hardware and Ubuntu Edgy.

* The problem is instead present with Ubunt Feisty Beta and Herd 5 too.
* The problem is present in the installation procedure (with a "stalling" of the tools like wget & apt-get), and in the running system too.
So:
- no wget, http navigation, apt-get with servers like ubuntu.com & sons and the most part of websites;
- everything is ok with google.com and some other websites;
- tools like ping function in both cases.

I have the same problem. No router at all involved.
