Bug Description

Hi,
I run a few Ubuntu 11.10 machines on a XenServer6 hypervisor.
While I upgrade them, the kernel's package rimains the linux-headers-3.0.0-16-generic and everything goes rigth.
When I dist-upgrade the vms, the kernel changes to linux-headers-3.0.0-17-generic and this makes the machine not rebootable.
In fact as soon as I reboot the machine I receive a XenServer's error about pygrub unable to find partition containing server.

I just run apport-collect 973405
I did it after the dist-upgrade which installed kernel 3.0.0-17-generic and before rebooting the machine.

This version is no more supported and is not a 'security' problem; so does not expect a backport
