Bug Description

The icon in the main menu for education was set to the icon in accessories, resulting in two accessories icons.
The file /usr/share/desktop-directories/Education.directory reads:

[Desktop Entry]
Name=Education
Icon=applications-accessories
Type=Directory
X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=gnome-menus-3.0

But should be:

[Desktop Entry]
Name=Education
Icon=applications-education
Type=Directory
X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=gnome-menus-3.0

I wasn't sure what package to file this under, so if it is wrong please correct me.

Thanks for reporting this! However, it's not Xubuntu's artwork that has to do with this file, it's coming in from gnome-menus, which I set as affects now.

affects: xubuntu-artwork (Ubuntu) → gnome-menus (Ubuntu)

thank you for your bug report but neither the GNOME or Ubuntu icon themes have a "applications-education" icon

Thanks for the quick response. The bug did not exist in Xubuntu 11.10, as shown by the screenshot. When the config file is changed in Xubuntu 11.10 (to applications-education) the icon changes to an education icon, perhaps taking it from another theme.

Even though the education icon may not be in the standard theme, changing the config file does make it look better than having two, duplicate 'accessories' style icons.

Seems to be solved in the final release of Xubuntu 12.04 - the education menu now uses the applications-science icon.
