Wishlist: Using search make possible to select using shift all related files

Bug Description
If i have many starting IMG files with other way starting name files then using wrinting IMG and holding SHIFT make possible to select related files in row holding shift.
Then immidiattly to do a command for example doing SHIFT + Del without deselecting search with ESC (this part needs fix in bug 972932 )
