soffice.bin 100% CPU when pasting range of cells into Thunderbird

Bug Description

To reproduce, select a range of cells in LibreOffice Calc, paste into the body of a Thunderbird email. soffice.bin consumes 100% of cpu and is entirely unresponsive after several minutes.

Can paste into LibreOffice Writer without problems. Can right-click and Paste without formatting without problem.
