Bug Description

Hi

Description: Ubuntu precise (development branch)
Release: 12.04
andy@andy-VirtualBox:~$ apt-cache policy unity
unity:
  Installed: 5.8.0-0ubuntu2
  Candidate: 5.8.0-0ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 5.8.0-0ubuntu2 0
        500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

What happened:
- When the dash was open I tried to change the view by selecting one of the buttons at the bottom on the dash
However when I tried to click on one of the items it didn't change. After some more clicking I found that the user has to click on the actual icon to switch between the lens and cannot click on the highlighted area.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Open the dash
2) Click on one of the items at the bottom of the dash, make sure that you click inside the highlighted region but outside of the image
3) Notice that the lens doesn't switch

What I expected to happen:
- I expected for the user to be able to select anywhere in the highlighted region.

I have attached an image showing to explain the bug.
- In the image the only area which will change the dash lens is inside the red circle, the user cannot select the lens from outside.

Many thanks

Andy

Thank for reporting this bug. However this first requires some design input from the Ayatana team. Hence marking this incomplete. This bug will still be looked into..So do not worry about the incomplete status.

Changed in unity:
status: New → Incomplete
Changed in ayatana-design:
