Live cd doesn't work on Dell X300 -- Missing USB cdrom support

The live cd doesn't work on a Dell X300 with USB cdrom:

Looking for CDROM in: /dev/hd?[1-9][0-9]
Enabling DMA acceleration for: hda [IC23N030ATMR04-0]
Warning: unable to find base module!

First, it doesn't load the ide-storage module, nor does it look at /dev/sda,
which it probably should.

The patch at http://am.xs4all.nl/morphix/usb/linuxrc.patch.morphix ought to fix
this.
(But I have not tested it)

This seems to have been fixed by the latest daily live CDs, so closing this bug.
