Hello,

I was not able to reproduce this on the version you have installed using a fresh installation of Ubuntu Precise Beta However it looks like the control panel output is not affecting its operation and the actual reason of misbehaving is syncdaemon not responding as you described in LP:872080. Please mark the bug as private and attach the content of ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log folder in an archive so that we could find the reason of such behavior.

A workaround was to clear all config directories related to ubuntuone.

The reason for the issue was that Ubuntu One had file synchronization disabled: 2012-04-02 10:42:55,623 - ubuntuone.SyncDaemon - WARNING - Files synchronization is disabled.

So, it seems the root cause for this was LP:872080 and there is already another bug for the verbose terminal output, which is harmless. Marking invalid.
