apport-gtk crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_image_clear()

Bug Description

crashed while updating. The system did not complete its installing fully. it has stopped in the middle saying GRUB loader not found. Even when i try to upgrade vie partial upgrade it is not gatting updated. It stops in the middle of installing. Please solve the problem. This kind of error mosty occuring while upgarding to 12.04 in desktops rather than Laptops
