Bug Description

I have a laptop and I am using it with dual monitor. I have set in the power management to do nothing when I close the lid. But when I close the lid the external monitor blanks out (maybe the xscreensaver starts). When I reopen the lid only the mouse can be seen (everything else is black) and it can be moved only within a rectangle. I thought this is the popup window that appears when I lock the screen. And it was. I entered my password and the system is back but the opened windows starts to "flash" like the system tries to redraws it then the crash report popup appeared. I still can use the system just I can't close the lid.

I have stopped the xscreensaver (there is no other screensaver started). Now compiz does not crash but if I close the lid the external monitor is still turned on but it's blank (black like when you set the screensaver to blank). The system does not enter to sleep or suspend mode because I have started a movie and I can still hear it.
