Crash during installation of 11.10 on an old PC

It was downloading packages and nearly done with the install when it told me that it crashed. Other than that message, nothing was out of the ordinary. I have done about a dozen Ubuntu installs over the years, this is the first one to crash on me.

I ran the installation a second time (repartitioned) and the install ran flawlessly. Since the install was on moderately old hardware and the bug could not be reproduced, I think this is a good candidate for closure.

The reason the install failed was due to a package that became corrupted on your disk or in memory:
