Bug Description

The problem is very straightforward. I opened the konsole(KDE terminal) from dolphin, with the working directory of /home/tyf/new-compilation/octave-3.6.1/. I run 'make' to compile octave in that directory. After the compilation has finished, I notice that the directory displayed at the command line prompt is wrong:

tyf@tyf-desktop:~/Desktop/new compilation/octave-3.6.1$
tyf@tyf-desktop:~/Desktop/new compilation/octave-3.6.1$ cd ../
tyf@tyf-desktop:~/Desktop/new-compilation$ cd octave-3.6.1/
tyf@tyf-desktop:~/Desktop/new-compilation/octave-3.6.1$

Notice that the first prompt's directory, "new compilation", when I cd up one level up to parent directory, it changes to "new-compilation".
