Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu precise (development branch)
Release: 12.04

When i add an event in evolution on an external google calender (connection works and all is set up correctly) on saving the event i get the error

Impossibile creare l'oggetto di calendario: Il calendario non esiste (italian)
Impossible to create object in calender: Clender does not exist (i hope this is the right translation)

Th event is not visible but it is created veryfying it on my smartphone and othe machines.

So i have to abort and not save the modification. Without further actions the event keeps existing and i can also view it in thunderbird lightning.

By the way. Thunderbird is full integrated but with the calender i have still to use evolution ?? isn't it strange ??

Thanks

I have the same problem using Mint 12
A the beginning it worked but, a few weeks ago, this window with
" Impossibile creare l'oggetto di calendario: Il calendario non esiste"
started to appear.
And same with me, if I abort the event it appear anyway when I open again the Calendar

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Precise Pangolin. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

Hallo.

i reported the bug from an uptodate precise installation on my pc. No virtualmachine. complete and update installation on hardisc with dualboot on an lucid installation.

After your message i downloaded the iso from the page you asked me (desktop i386 beta2).

I started with the live cd. installed evolution and activated the same google calender like in my bug reported.

I attach the screenshot of the message so you can see it

i'm writing right now from the live cd so i hope i could contribute to solve.

feel free to contact if i can help more

The fact that the computer name is listed in the ics file tried to be opened as a calendar file is already a good indication that something is broken.
