12.04 beta 2 lubuntu ubiquity install crashed copying files

zsync'd lubuntu 12.04 today March 30. checksum O.K. Install on Thinkpad R31 (which has pae by the way) proceeding normally was "copying files" then suddently ubiquity crashed and disappeared from the screen. Lubuntu CD live still running O.K.

This Thinkpad will run ubuntu-2D and lubuntu alpha 2 just fine.

Tried install of Beta 2 again this time booting from iso file.
Crash occurred about the same spot.

Did a zsync to 20120331 3.2.0-21-generic lubuntu

Install was running copying files, progress bar well across the screen when install window disappeared and went back to desk top.

Only 2 updates. Note, Pangolin, Lubuntu 12.04 A2, and Lucid Lynx are running fine.
Install try again same result, Broken pipe.

Anyone any suggestions??

Same ubiquity bug for me (lubuntu 12.04 wget 2012-06-02).

May be similar to Bugs 984184 on Xubuntu and 978489 on Lubuntu and Bug #985354.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
