In dropdown pressing letter doesnt ract

if in some dropdown i press letter it gives that option with pressed letters
doesnt work.
test
install empathy and telepathy-idle
connect to narby accounts
connect some another account
now its possible to get irc
add irc acount and there activate irc account
press any letter- doesnt react..
:(

it should react and in fact freenode should be 1st option regarding alphabet couse its beeing used as ubuntu comunication node

In 14.04 cant even get irc and crashes and showing loading mouse icon over empathy
