John Pugh, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. It is agreed if one installs package libreoffice (which includese libreoffice-draw) or just libreoffice-draw, libreoffice-pdfimport should be installed with it. So, the best way to go would be to make libreoffice-pdfimport a dependency of libreoffice-draw.

By your logic, Christopher only libreoffice-draw would install libreoffice-pdfimport? That's not right.

If one installs the primary libreoffice package, libreoffice-pdfimport *should* be installed.

However if I install *only* libreoffice-draw then I don't want the full libreoffice package, I only want libreoffice-draw. In this case only libreoffice-draw *should* be installed.

John Pugh, regarding your comments:

Yes, it is. :D Only draw uses pdfimport. Having pdfimport be dependent on something else would not make sense.

Agreed. As discussed in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/966498/comments/1 , when one installs libreoffice, libreoffice-draw get's pulled in as a dependency. Hence, libreoffice-pdfimport should be a dependent of libreoffice-draw.

And, pdfimport should be installed with it, as we agreed.
