When launching instances without all fields input, error is returned to a launch screen with additional launch options

When incorrectly filling in the information to launch an instance (e.g. forget server name or not selecting a security group) - the page refreshes to a screen which then allows extra inputs (particularly around snapshots and devices). This is an inconsistency both in look and feel, but also features seem only available when your user journey isn't correct.

As mentioned above: When clicking on launching an instance and then not filling in all the details then clicking on the Launch button.

In terms of URIs

1) /auth/login
2) /nova/images_and_snapshots/
3) Select Launch next to a valid image
4) Clicking on "Launch instance"

This takes you to a differently designed screen away from the modal box, with extra fields now available.

I'm not able to reproduce this, and I actually suspect it may have been fixed incidentally in the last few days. Can you confirm it still happens when running on the latest master from github?

I suspect the extra fields he mentioned is the 'boot from volume' that is hidden with js if shown as modal
if error happens, it redirect to static page, and the 'boot from volume' is not hidden

I'm marking this one as fixed since the error handling for the modal forms has all been fixed up lately and there's been no further confirmation that the bug still exists.
