Bug Description
When booting from Ubuntu Precise CD the splash screen with the Ubuntu is displayed, pressing ESC shows a text screen with progress details.
1. This is particularly useful when trying to find where a bug occurs on CD bootup, but I think it is undocumented. Certainly it is not prominent in the documentation at wiki.ubuntu.com.
2. I would document it myself but I don't know if it is a design feature that is repeatable on all hardware.
3. It is also not clear what one is seeing. Pressing ESC again returns to the splash screen with progress dots. Both this screen and the text output seem to be on the Console 7.
