Bug Description

After today's updates (mainly Unity 2D updates) my Unity desktop is broken.
Either I cannit log in an the screen freezes on the wallpaper without rendering the desktop (panel, launcher...) or if I succeed to log in, the desktop flickers (it's like the desktop is being redisplayed / rendered every 1/2 second, making it impossible to use menus, launcher .....etc).

Unity 2D works fine, a well as Gnome classic without effects.

System: Laptop AMD64 (Precise updated).
