Bug Description
I was reinstalling LUBUNTU 11.10, hoping to fix some bugs that were in the first installed version. I was having movie player crashes, that would not close or leave window. I tried to uninstall movie player with the remove function, but that didn't take it out. I could not get a DVD to play with movie player, even after adding the requested library decryption files. VLC movie player would reecognize the DVD, then crash.
After all this, I decided to just reinstall LUBUNTU 11.10, instead of fiddling around, because the installation was so fresh and not heartbreaking to lose.
When I reinstalled, I looked at the option to do something different, and noticed that on my harddrive there was no marking for a Linux swap drive. There was an unidentified partition that was only about 500 MB, and my ram is 850 MB. I thought that LUBUNTU made a swap partition.
Also a notice appeared during this installation that all my documents pictures and videos would be removed.
I was under the impression that LUBUNTU 11.10 was smart, and would leave all my files in /home alone.
Should I make the three partitions: /, /home, and /linux swap for next install?
Thanks.
