No sound

Bug Description

Sound was working a earlier today.
Recently uninstalled Azureus (sound was working while azureus was installed)
Recently installed then uninstalled freeloader.
Recently Installed BitTornado
Recently Installed MoBlock, packages from http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=192559&highlight=moblock
under the Dapper Drake installation.

Running Dapper Drake.

Talking on IRC seems to suggest that mixer levels were not restored after a reboot.

This might be related to what I am currently experiencing:

Azureus (java) is blocking the alsa sound device. Seems like instead of using the dmix thing, it exclusively utilizes the alsa pcm directly.

This bug is over one year old, and has had no activity since December 2007. Furthermore, this problem may well be overcome with the installation of PulseAudio by default in Hardy. I am thus closing the report, but feel free to re-open it if the problem persists.
